FAQ

What is a 'Short-stay Rental House' policy?

ShareCover designed this policy to address the needs of hosts who are renting out their free-standing houses to guests for most of the year.

This policy provides cover for your home and its contents whilst being used as temporary residential accommodation for loss or damage that is caused by a guest’s (or a guest’s visitor’s) act or omission. This includes risks such as theft, malicious and accidental damage, income loss, liability and additional benefits (learn more about what additional house benefits are here).

You can take out this policy for any periods of temporary residential accommodation of 90 days or less, which can include multiple guest stays, over a 6 or 12-month period of insurance – whatever works for you!

For full details about this policy and whether it’s right for you, read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
